Food for hording thought

I remember from many- a-year ago reading (or hearing a speaker) that “if the population growth continues we will become a planet much like a ball of fishing worms. Being an avid fisherman from birth I could picture a handful of squirming worms all with human heads.

Years later I ran across these stats:

From the moment we (amoeba) crawled out of the primeval slime to 1835, humans were less than 1 billion in count. That’s hundreds of thousands of years to reach 1 billion.

From 1835 to 1935 humans (top of the food chain) doubled. 2 Billion. In only 1 hundred years.

From 1935 to 1973 we doubled again. 4 Billion. In 40 years.

we now are over 7 Billion. Not quite double but you get the picture.

The average, from the reports I read, have earth being able to sustain, indefinite, human life at about 2 to 3 billion.

These are the mathematical facts and they are undisputable.

Short of aliens coming to help us evacuate to other planets, I good old fashion asteroid strike, black plague, or nuclear war, we (and our children’s children) are in for a big hurt.

The governments of the US and modern Europe try to hypnotized us into thinking “All Is Well” “I am the Great OZ. Pay no attention to what’s behind the curtain.”
