The NRA spams me more than telemarketers looking to refinance my home loan. Let’s examine the facts:
– For MONTHS the NRA called me at least once a week asking for money. The ONLY time I donated extra was to sponsor two memberships for Life of Duty Servicemembers.
– I get NRA spam emails constantly asking for more money (via “special programs they offer”)
– NRA daily emails from executives about the importance of something something (which usually ends by asking for money)
– The NRA snail mail is ridiculous! Seems like I get crap once a week, if not MORE asking for money or to join some program.
The final straw was today, I got some stupid DVD in the mail, which if I did NOT want I had to return back to them! Unsolicited mind you, I don’t want your stupid videos and I especially don’t want to go through the trouble of mailing them back to you.
Aren’t my membership dollars enough to protect the second amendment? Or do they need piles of cash to finance more salaries at the VA complex and their fancy range and museum (I’ve been there). Maybe times are desperate, since the Republicrats won the Senate now they can’t spread the fear and easily get people to sign up.
Here’s the sad thing, I liked the NRA and believed supporting them with a few bucks in membership dollars was doing my part. But essentially they are running me off (read: pissing me off) by spamming me at every turn, begging for handouts on the corner with a tin cup.
I can walk away from my membership with no regrets, and just might do that.
