I’m new and looking for some down to earth, friend to friend, cut the crap info on how and where to purchase and prep. For instance, I’m now (initially) looking at backpacks (bug out bags?). Any thoughts/ help welcome!

I’m a preppier by default. I live a rural lifestyle because I don’t want constant public annoyances on a daily level. I like and respect nature and it seems to return the same. Life changes can happen any time. Many think it will happen in one big bang but the reality is that these negative changes come more in spurts like say Covid. Be as self sufficient as you can and don’t freak out every time life changes. Adapt to those changes. Look for opportunities in those current obstacles. Use some common sense. If TSHTF you will most likely burn up before you get one shot off. But it’s best to work with others rather than fight with them as we now do about most things in todays world.
