I can’t promise that I’ll be able to answer every question or even provide the BEST answer for your question but I’ll do my best. Of course, OPSEC will always be taken into consideration….

Nothing to do with prepping but I wonder if you can tell me why American military personnel have the Stars and Stripes sort of ‘backwards’ (with the stars on the right- hand side as we look at it) on the shoulders of their uniforms? I’ve noticed it often.

The stars are towards the front of the uniform no matter which side you look at them from. That’s to show forward movement and is symbolic of advancing and not retreating.

Thank you for educating me, Echo5Charlie.

I had wondered if it was a way of appearing the right way round if the serviceman/woman saw themselves in a mirror. Therefore the flag would always look ‘correct’. I haven’t put that very elegantly but I hope you know what I mean.

    Many thanks again.

Have you ever reviewed or used or checked out XS Big Dot sights for glocks?

Definitely agree on the flag placement on the uniform, although the answer is the same “passed down” word of mouth one which reminds me of similar: there is a 9mm bullet, gun and some other stuff in the top of the flagpole etc etc.

Ive never reviewed the XS big dots…

The sights are incredible to me. Rifle is my comfort zone, and I have always had a problem focusing on the rear two dots first because they are brighter.

The xs big dots have a huge front tip, and a swoopy rear sight. Much easier to pick up quickly. They also have tritium and glow nicely. The sights come with everything needed for install, from punches to sight tool and even red loctite.

My wife got them for me for my birthday, and they are really nice. They would probably look out of place on a 1911, but they fit right in with the glocks look. Anyways, thought someone might benefit. Maybe trijicon will send you a sample to test.
