Hahaha, I couldn’t listen to the song, but I get your point! 🙂

Personally, I do believe they should make a bit more money. I think that being a member of congress is such an important job, the pay should be considerably more than that of a doctor or lawyer.

Of course, many people would argue that most members of congress don’t deserve to be paid that much, and maybe they’re right. Perhaps congress members should receive base pay, and then the voters could award bonuses to each member, based on how well he or she is doing. The whole reason we give tips to waiters and waitresses, hairdressers, etc., is to get better service. Maybe politicians would do better if voters could tip them for doing a good job.

The part that bothers me the most in this article is his view on his role in Congress. “…The board of directors of the largest economic entity in the world.”

I think he needs to re-read the Constitution. America is not a company.
