Due to economic conditions I have found it necessary to work 2 jobs for most of the last 8 years. My part time job is in retail. Enough people over the years at (retail store) have in one form or another asked me where I get all my energy (too much for an old guy although one of the managers was sure we were the same age, about 35). So I made a list which you will see below. Please note that out of the 20 or so things listed only 7 are daily and occasionally I will miss one or two of those. The rest of them are hit and miss or as needed. I should mention (to help give the list below some credibility) that most of the people who ask about this work in the back unloading trucks and pulling pallets of freight and are half my age. As I had mentioned in another post a few days ago (this was posted on another site), I get barrowed from the sales floor to be the guy in the truck to help unload. I did 4 trucks last week. Not in their entirety due to scheduling (when you are required to take lunch) but it should be noted that have unloaded 2 trucks in one day on more than one occasion. Typically if I get called to the back when the unloading has already started, they tell the 20 something in the truck to get out and I go in. I need to brag about one more thing for the sake of credibility: We recently changed our life insurance policy and I had to give a few little bottle of blood, a urine sample, heart rate, and blood pressure. My insurance guy got Back to me and told me that I am a twenty something.
Some last loose ends:
1. The reason why most of these made the list is for the purpose of longevity. I hope to live way past the average American male lifespan. Extra energy is a nice side effect. Also I do not recall missing any work from being sick in the last 10 years or so including 7 years working a full time and part time job.
2. I don’t suggest that any one take any of these. You should read up on these and decide for yourself. This list is what I do.
3. No I will not be posting on this endlessly. This is it. If you want to comment on this I will respond though and that would be great.
4. One short story. One of the guys at (retail store), a few years back started feeding his really old dog Jaogulan, Astragalas and one other item which he can’t remember now what it was (animal study) and his dog started acting like a puppy again. His dog lived to be 18 years old.
5. Clarification on the truck thing. These are 50 plus foot trailers which sometimes contain over 3000 pieces. The guy in the truck handles every loose piece. One last bit of bragging only to make a point. They usually have a radio blasting in back and if I know the song I tend to sing along (like singing while you jog). It’s great fun, I can sing scary loud and I almost always get a laugh if I customize the words (like substitute names in the song with store manager’s names etc.).

I’m glad you are able to move about like a young buck and maintain your health and thanks for providing some tips as well. I can’t say that I’ve ever done the supplement thing (lately) or vitamin thing. Maybe when I get a few more years under my belt. 🙂
Right now my shoulder is killing me, a result of too much heavy work in the gym. Tired of being plagued by stupid little injuries.

I currently take a multi-vitamin and sublingual B-12. I used to take a number of nootropics and some stuff like creatine, but I’ve cut back to save money.
