Warning: Incredibly stupid act while cooking

I suppose this is somewhat related to prepping since I was using veggies from the garden to make salsa. There I was on the cutting board chopping up onions, tomatoes, green peppers, jalapenos and cilantro…having a good old time anticipating how great the salsa would be. Squeeze in a few limes and add some oil etc etc.

– Mistake #1: Forget to wash hands

– Mistake #2: Rub eyes with hands about 10 minutes later

It was worse than the CS gas in basic training all those years ago. Took about 20 minutes for the sting to wear off. Maybe I’ll make my own pepper spray out of the stuff.

I make my own chili powder which involves slicing some extremely hot peppers and dehydrating them. I have made the same mistake, you know very quickly that you have done something wrong!
