Also think about this…if I were the gubmit and wanted to build a database on the fringe survival movement what types of events would I choose to attend? yea….no thanks
PJKeymasterI would avoid these expos like the plague. Nothing to see here, move along….
PJKeymasterDefinitely agree on the flag placement on the uniform, although the answer is the same “passed down” word of mouth one which reminds me of similar: there is a 9mm bullet, gun and some other stuff in the top of the flagpole etc etc.
Ive never reviewed the XS big dots…
PJKeymasterI agree, having tried many varieties I’d say freeze dried is good but not great. Even if you have 1 to 2 years of freeze dried it will eventually run out…although one cannot argue with the simplicity of the prep.
PJKeymasterI’ve been following it somewhat although it doesn’t surprise me at ALL. C’mon now, hasn’t anyone ever been in the gubmint system? I once wanted to see a chiropractor, through the military system this took almost 5….MONTHS…when you include appointment wait times and various referrals. I finally gave up and paid $40 to see one on my own.
Don’t get me started.
PJKeymasterYou guys motivate me. Just when I think I don’t feel like working out I see the struggles and dedication here and know that I can’t be a slacker. My last few workouts have been ridiculous, including countless tire flips and walking while holding 60lbs worth of chains over my head. Ugh.
My weakness is that I hate to run. Need to ramp that up but I find it completely boring.
Keep up the good work everyone, your body will thank you
PJKeymasterThis past weekend I had the most delicious coffee ever. I have a friend who roasts his own beans, grinds them and then uses a press to make coffee. No cream or sugar necessary, no electricity either. It was…delicious.
PJKeymasterIn today’s age with freeze dried meals all you have to do is boil water, pour in bag and presto!
PJKeymasterI wonder if whole beans would work in a percolator?
PJKeymasterI like the idea of looking for deadfalls and keeping firestarter kits on my person. I keep thinking of worst case scenarios where it’s raining and everything is absolutely soaked. That would indeed be a true suckfest.

Awesome tips! Any experience with cooking when all that you have is wet wood?
PJKeymasterHot food is best, but when you have to suffer through old or cold food there are two items which save the day:
1- Tabasco sauce
2- SaltThat said, there is nothing better than “Army Breakfast”
– Powdered eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy covering it all slathered in hot sauce
PJKeymasteryou got it!
PJKeymasterWow that’s an extensive list! I’m glad you are able to move about like a young buck and maintain your health and thanks for providing some tips as well. I can’t say that I’ve ever done the supplement thing (lately) or vitamin thing. Maybe when I get a few more years under my belt. 🙂
Right now my shoulder is killing me, a result of too much heavy work in the gym. Tired of being plagued by stupid little injuries.
PJKeymasterThe Maj had great reviews of the Kelly Kettle during his recent bugout journey, I’d say you are looking at a great piece of equipment
